Mark Pimentel is a designer and creative leader with more than 15 years of experience across product, brand, sport, culture, performance, lifestyle, and storytelling. His work has spanned consumer segments, age groups, and price points, from core product through pinnacle and luxury-level executions.
At Nike, he helped launch the NBA partnership and led design across the partnership, oversaw Nike Kids Boys’ design across categories, and worked across performance, lifestyle, energy collaborations, and signature athlete businesses including Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, and Kevin Durant. Most recently, he helped lead the launch of the Kobe Brand.
His experience spans North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, with an emphasis in China. He has worked deeply across product development, manufacturing, consumer insights, and factory partnerships, connecting creative vision with the realities of making, marketing, and delivering product at global scale.
His work spans product creation and development, creative direction, art direction, brand systems, end-to-end concept creation, innovation, and storytelling.
Mark holds an MBA from the University of Oregon and degrees in Merchandising Management and Apparel Design from Oregon State University. In 2022, he was named to the Portland Business Journal’s 40 Under 40.
He is also the founder of ANTIFREEZE, an independent automotive culture journal exploring cars, design, fashion, photography, and the culture around them.
Motion Studies brings those experiences together through brand strategy, identity, creative direction, product thinking, and storytelling.
